چکیده
Low-salinity water flooding (LSWF) is environment-friendly and operates similarly to conventional waterflooding without the need for synthetic chemical materials. The application of LSWF makes sense in Vietnam as HC production has steadily declined since 2002, majority main oil fields have become near mature fields. In next years, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) should be a top priority Petro boost its production, which key issue how select suitable EOR technology. this study, Lower Miocene sand using low salinity from Oligocene was investigated. Previously at Ruby field Cuu Long Basin, an feasibility study carried out based on core experiment, time-consuming costly. This targets Chim Sao Nam Con Son cheaper faster assessing method required. As result, numerical code written Matlab developed successfully validated with experiment results obtained field. simulation conducted multiple ion-exchange mechanisms (MIE), showed increase recovery factor by 2.19% Sand. Another important outcome innovative proposal successful use abundant underlying natural LSW source inject into reservoir that can decisive help apply practice wide scale not only but also other similar southern offshore Vietnam.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
CORE FLOOD STUDIES TO EVALUATE EFFICIENCY OF OIL RECOVERY BY LOW SALINITY WATER FLOODING AS A SECONDARY RECOVERY PROCESS
Various researches on laboratory and field scale illustrate that manipulating the ionic composition and the ion concentration of injected water can affect the efficiency of water flooding and the interaction of injected water with rock and other fluids present in porous media. The objectives of this paper are to investigate parameters that affect low salinity water flooding; mainly the effect o...
متن کاملSimulation Study of Salinity Effect on Polymer Flooding in Core Scale
In this study, simulation of low salinity polymer flooding in the core scale is investigated using Eclipse-100 simulator. For this purpose, two sets of data are used. The first set of data were adopted from the results of experimental studies conducted at the University of Bergen, performed using Berea sandstone and intermediate oil. The second data set, related to sand pack and heavy oil syste...

The Effect of Temperature and Injection Rate during Water Flooding Using Carbonate Core Samples: An Experimental Approach
In many reservoirs, after water flooding, a large volume of oil is still left behind. Hot water injection is the most basic type of thermal recovery which increase recovery by improved sweep efficiency and thermal expansion of crude. In the present work, the effects of injection rate and the temperature of the injected water were surveyed by using core flooding apparatus. Water flooding was perf...
